Synopsis:
In 1943, the remote Polish town of Małe Zalesie lives ‘under the shadow of occupation. German officials, opportunistic locals, and fearful villagers cling to a fragile balance of silence and stolen life. The arrival of Martin Wolff, a German officer sent to investigate the disappearance of a Jewish lawyer, shatters this uneasy peace. Rumors of hidden documents and a buried treasure stir old rivalries. As secrets surface, identities unravel, and loyalties shift, the town becomes a stage for betrayal and survival.
